Your first Teammate

A Teammate is a role you hire, not a task you run.

  1. Hire a Teammate in Teams, or hire a ready-made one from Explore.

  2. Give it a Role: a responsibility in one or two sentences, true across every Project. You keep our competitive landscape current and flag any pricing change within a day is a Role. Write the Q4 competitor report is a Project. See Writing a Role.

  3. Pick a Brain: the model that reads, decides and talks. Frontier for judgment, fast for routine. Swap it any time.

  4. Add Tools: Search, Browse, Think, Code, Image, Video. Start with what the Role obviously needs; a Teammate says so when it lacks one.

  5. Say hello in Messages and ask what it understood of its Role.
